Why R- stick drumsticks? He was recommended to me by one of my acquaintances - and it was definitely not a bad choice.
Ján Maťo, a young talented Slovak drummer, sat behind the drums for the first time at the age of twelve. He has been actively playing since 2009. In 2011, together with four other musicians, he founded the deathcore band Shrill Whispers.
At the beginning of 2012, the band stabilized in a five-member line-up. It got into the subconscious of the fans thanks to extremely energetic performances and music, to which few could compare to the home scene. As the name of the band suggests, it's not poprock, but a really penetrating deathcore with elements of grind and melodic expression.
The band has released the album Lacerations and performed a lot at major events - such as Wlesefest, or Wayout Christmas Party alongside Princess Knocked Out The Gardener and Betraying The Martyrs.
He currently works in the Dutch slam / deathcore band DISTANT, signed under the American label Unique Leader Records. He has been performing since 2014, with two EPs behind him - Slither (2015), Tsukuyomi (2017) and one LP - Tyrannotophia (2019) which met with worldwide success. The band played alongside Slaughter To Prevail, Waking The Cadaver, Ingested, Acrania and dozens of other big names on stage.
