What we need to know to produce an exact copy.
To produce the required copy, we need input data. The more accurate and detailed it is, the better the result will be. However, it is not a requirement to enter everything we describe. This page should serve as a rough guide to what we need to know. So you enter the following data:
The name of the model or the company that made it. Preferably both:
Most of the time, this information is on the stick or in the catalogue or other materials - however, there are cases when it is illegible, erased or unavailable. In this case, please follow the next points. Ideally, a link to a website or source where the drumstick is pictured or where there is additional information about it.
Length and diameter of drumstick:
These two pieces of information are critically important for us to reproduce the exact shape of the copied model. If we do not know them, reconstruction cannot be performed. If we know only one of them, then we can reconstruct the mallet - but the reconstruction is not accurate. If we only know the diameter we cannot accurately identify the length of the mallet, if we only know the length then the diameter may be inaccurate. On the other hand, we do not need to know the original dimensions if you require your own dimensions for the model. We will then adapt the model to the dimensions you provide.
A picture, or pictures of drumsticks:
We usually get these from the internet or from our archives, but for many models there is no documentation. Therefore, if you have a picture, it will make the whole job easier, because we subtract some of the stick and tip shapes from it.
Sample drumstick:
This is an ideal opportunity for us to get as close to the original as possible. We can take all the required dimensions from the sample and reconstruct the stick accurately. That is why it is ideal if you send us a sample. The drumstick does not have to be undamaged, it can be worn, broken, or it can be the remains of several broken drumsticks. We will reconstruct a copy of your model from the drumstick sample in the CAD application. We will return the sample to you with the shipment of the ordered drumsticks.
Basic dimensions according to sample:
Sometimes it is not possible to send the sample or it is too expensive due to the distance. In this case, we recommend that you measure all data according to the following chart - in the units (mm - inch) used in your country. The more accurately you measure, the more accurate the final result will be. This will also be affected by whether the stick is new or old. Please give us this information along with the dimensions. Send us the resulting data in a special email, or enter it in the configurator that is designed to make a copy of your model.
Photo of drumstick:
It will make our work much easier if you take a picture of the mallet if there are no other pictures of it. Follow these rules:
- We need a picture of the whole drumstick, as well as the tip and the rise - about 1/3 of its length.
- We need the photos to be as sharp as possible. So take it outside or in very good lighting.
- Place the drumsticks on a light background and take the picture from a height so that you can fit the whole drumstick in the picture, and then a close-up of the tip and the tip of the drumstick. The diagram shows you how to take a good photo and a bad one. The important thing is to keep the angle of the photo according to this diagram.

- Take several photos and send us the sharpest and most beautiful ones.
- When taking the photo, ignore the actual dimensions of the drumstick. If we know the length and diameter, we can subtract them and then interpolate them ourselves from the photo.
All the data and samples you enter are used to help us accurately produce your favourite model. We store this in a database for your account, so that we can produce your desired model again at any time in the future.
