When Simon was 8 years old, he got his first drums for Christmas. But before that, he had to endure a year of playing once a week with a teacher. But only at home on the couch with drumsticks, learning the notes. The present from Santa Claus, however, was not the main breakthrough. He was still playing under the teacher's guidance only for an hour a week, and only after three years (at the time of the coronavirus in spring 2020) did he really get into the drums. From an hour a week, it was an hour a day. And success came immediately when he won one of the top prizes in the I Want to Hear You talent contest. Since the summer of 2020, he has been recording drum covers of his favourite bands, started a YouTube channel where he now has around 180 drum videos and a thousand subscribers.
At the same time, he attends the ZUŠ with his teacher Vít'a Michna, who mainly trains his playing technique. Once a week, another drummer Petr Pedro Škvarček helps him with creating covers. He also performs live, when he has prepared a 30-minute drum ride. He has played at festivals such as Interporta in Ústí nad Labem, Útulek Fest, Výběžek free LIVE festival and KAHO Fest.
The destination? Definitely to play in a band that will become famous and play on big stages. To improve my playing and be a sought-after drummer.
