What wood are R-stick drumsticks made of?

We use selected white hickory from the Right Hickory group for production. It is determined by the structure of annual rings, endurance, balance and weight. From domestic woody plants we use selected hornbeam and sometimes also maple.

There is no clear answer to this - it depends a lot on your preferences. See the Materials section for more information. In general, however, it can be said that the most used are hickory and hornbeam.
Note: Hornbeam is a European tree very often used to make drumsticks in this region.

Hikor is a very durable wood with considerable resistance to breakage and splitting. It is characterized by high resistance to abrasion on cymbals, has a good weight in relation to the strength of the stick, and can absorb vibrations perfectly.
What are the advantages of hornbeam drumsticks?

Mainly in the price, which is half that of hickory, because it is a domestic tree. However, its properties are very similar to hickory, and therefore it is suitable for use in all styles. Compared to hickory, it is a bit lighter.
Note: This is a Central European woody plant common at the R - stick headquarters and used to make drumsticks.
What are the advantages of maple drumsticks?

Mainly in lower weight in relation to their diameter. They are suitable for quieter and softer passages, or orchestral and symphonic playing. Their sound is more discreet and quieter, they are better controlled.
